White Swiss Shepherd and the Standard Poodle – A Unique Cross
Never heard of the White Swiss Shepherd (WSS)? The British Kennel Club describes the WSS as “lively and friendly temperament, never shy or aggressive. Can be reserved. Easily trained. Versatile working, companion dog. Attentive, alert, resilient.”
The WSS height at the shoulders is typically 21-26 inches, and weight is 55 to 88lbs. Coat is white, and medium to long in length.

Why Shepadoodles? My primary introduction to the world of dog breeding was by my good friend Tabitha. Many years ago she started her breeding program with her first WSS Chaia, whose first litter of puppies had me hooked! Not only were her WSS sweet, majestic looking dogs, but the puppy raising was so fun and interesting. I would have loved to take a WSS home but knew I needed a slightly smaller, non shedding dog. Fast forward several years and I had started my own breeding program with mainly Bernedoodles and Poodles, but became curious about what the cross between a WSS and a Poodle would produce….so in 2024 I had my first litter of Shepadoodles!
With this cross you can expect an active, athletic, alert, intelligent, trainable dog who will enjoy being with their family and going adventures. The poodle genes will make the puppies non-shedding, and the White Swiss Shepherd genes will make for a very loyal companion.
Currently there are no planned Shepadoodle litters, but if there is enough interest from those wanting a Shepadoodle puppy I would consider breeding another litter. Send me a message via the contact page to let me know you are interested.
